Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
- These are a unit of study designed to prepare people to provide pastoral/spiritual care in a range of settings.
- A CPE unit of study or program can be undertaken full time over 3 months, or part time over 5 to 12 months.
- There are 3 levels of CPE:
- CP9100Z Clinical Pastoral Education Level 1
- CP9170Z Clinical Pastoral Education Specialised
- CP9273Z Clinical Pastoral Education Level 2
- All three levels of CPE are run entirely by the relevant CPE Centres, but are potentially eligible for credit with the University of Divinity.
- Units coded CP are equivalent to DP for course structures.

Supervised Reading Units
With the approval of a Course Advisor, students may undertake specialised study with the guidance of an appropriate supervisor in a Supervised Reading Unit (SRU).
Units are scheduled upon request.
Students enrol in an SRU in one of the following options:
- Undergraduate
- 18-point unit: 5,000 – 6,000 words
- 36-point unit: 10,000-12,000 words
- Postgraduate
- 24-point unit: 7,000 – 8,000 words
- 48-point unit: 14,000-16,000 words
