Clinical Pastoral Education

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is a unit of study designed to prepare people to provide pastoral/spiritual care in a range of settings. A CPE unit of study or program can be undertaken full time over 3 months, or part time over 5 to 12 months. There are 3 levels of CPE (see below). All three levels of CPE are run entirely by the relevant CPE Centres, but are potentially eligible for credit with the University of Divinity.
