Application Process
Step 1: Arrange for an interview
Contact the Associate Dean (Research) to arrange an appointment.
Step 2: Prepare for your interview
Get the following documents ready
- Proof of Citizenship: Either your Birth Certificate or current Passport
- Academic/VCE transcripts
- Unique student Identifier (USI) number
- Evidence of any Change of Name (if applicable)
- Overseas students may also need to provide the following
- English Language Proficiency Statement (if studies were undertaken outside Australia)
- IELTS results
- Visa information
- Sponsor Statement (if third party is paying your tuition fees)
- Digital Headshot (for student records/ID card)
Step 3: Attend your Interview
- Discuss your research proposal
- Complete the HDR Application form
Step 4: Submit your application
- Complete and submit (electronically) the required forms and documents
Step 4: Confirmation of Candidature
- Confirmation letter
- Welcome Letter
- Student card (either in person or by post, when enrolment has been processed)
Step 5: Attend an Orientation Session
- Attend an orientation session. Overseas Students must attend a session
